How does the MAC switch the main display? Some users who use Mac computers, such as laptop users, may want to add a larger monitor to the screen because it is too small, or have more display output requirements. When a MAC computer has more than one monitor, there will be a primary and secondary display area. The Dock menu bar appears on the main display, and the vice display is not. Here is a brief description of how to operate the method.
How the MAC switches the primary display
As shown in the following illustration, the MacBook Pro laptop currently has two monitors on the table.
To set the primary display, first click on the Apple icon in the upper-left corner of the system and click on the "System Preferences" option in the menu.
Then in the System Preferences window, click on the "Monitor" icon to continue, as shown in the picture
Then in the Display Settings window, first click on the top of the "Arrange" column, as shown in the picture
As shown in the following illustration, here you can see the direction of the current display's alignment. It's worth noting that a white stripe at the top of the display is the current primary display.
If you want to replace the main monitor, drag the White Stripes on the monitor to the monitor you want to set up.
As the following illustration shows, the white bar at the top of the display is moved to the display on the left, which means that the main display becomes the monitor on the left.
If you want to change it in the future, you can switch it successfully by this method. Of course, if you have more monitors, you can also set them by referencing this method.
