How does VB connect to the sybase Database in UNIX-general Linux technology-Linux technology and application information-the following is a detailed description. First, my machine has installed the sybase client program. The ODBC data source can also see the Driver of 'sybase ase odbc Driver '. Now suppose that the ip address of the Sybase Database Server is 192.168.0.1, my machine ip address is 192.168.0.37. Now I have written a program on my machine using vb. I need to connect to the sybase database server, but the connection fails. Let's talk about my database connection practice: first, add an adodc control, select "ADODC properties", select "use connection string", and then click "generate ", select the "Sybase ase ole db Provider" Driver, click "Next", enter the data source name, user name, and password in the connection, and enter the initial directory (this directory is left blank if it is useless) click test connection. The "test connection failed" dialog box appears.
