The Article Purpose: To help those who want to access network resources through the Windows Mobile simulator. I hope this article will help you solve some problems.

Article environment:

Vs2008, Windows Mobile 6 simulator, Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5

Open vs2008, create a mobile project, and go to "Tools"> "device management ".

Open device management, select a simulator, and then run. After the simulator runs, it needs to be synchronized with ActiveSync immediately.

In device management, select "Cradle ". To achieve synchronization.

After the simulator is synchronized, you can access network resources through ActiveSync.

If your PC network has a proxy. You need to set a proxy.

In the simulator, choose Start> Settings> tab control and choose connection> connection ".

On the page, select modify proxy server ".

You need to set the proxy server name, user name, and password to access the network through the proxy.

Of course, if you do not set it like this, you can open IE and enter the URL. The system will automatically monitor whether a proxy exists. If yes, a dialog box will pop up for you to set it.

After setting, you can monitor whether the network can be accessed.

First, access the Internet and enter the Google address. The simulator can be accessed normally,

Then access the LAN, because there is a problem with IIS on my machine, so no website is deployed. Here we test the address link of another machine.

The site in the figure is not a mobile Web site, so the display effect is very bad. For details about how to develop a mobile Web site, refer to my other two articles:
Windows Mobile 5.0 (2)
Windows Mobile 5.0 (3) -- use JavaScript in mobile Web form

Since you can access the website, you can certainly access the Web service. The demo is skipped.

Many questions about the simulator are related to ActiveSync, so check whether the two sides can connect normally.
