First, the default Excel chart title
The default Excel chart title is to add a chart title by selecting the chart, clicking Chart Tools-layout-chart title, selecting the Center overlay title item as needed, and so on. As shown in the following illustration:
Excel default chart title, you cannot change the caption size by dragging, the default caption is not as wide as the chart, and there are many limitations to text layout.
Second, the Excel chart title references
If there is already a caption text in the cell. When we're making a chart, there's no need to repeat the typing, and the Excel chart title can refer to the cell contents.
The Excel Chart Title reference method is: Click the chart title, and then type in the formula bar: = The cell reference address that contains the caption content, and press ENTER to generate a chart title that is the same as the cell link.
If we modify the contents of the cell that contains the title, the chart title will change accordingly.
Third, the text box replaces the Excel chart title box
In the chart area, free up the position to insert the chart title, activate the chart, select the chart tool--layout--text box, insert the text box, drag and drop the adjustment, so that it and the chart and the top close to coincide.
The text boxes and charts that you insert by using the Chart tool-layout-text box described above are a whole, and the text box does not break out of the chart when the chart moves.
In addition, Excel has the ability to insert a text box in addition to the text box inside the chart tool, and click Insert--text box. As shown in the following illustration:
This text box is exactly the same as the text box usage inside the chart tool. The only difference is that if we use a text box that inserts a tab, the text box and the chart are not a whole, and when we drag the chart on the worksheet, we need to combine the text box with the chart and drag it, otherwise the text box will break out of the chart.
The combination method is to select the text box, press SHIFT and then select the chart, and click the Drawing tool-a combination.
If you have already used a text box that inserts a tab to do a chart title, you can also copy, cut, and then activate the chart and paste. After this operation, they are also a whole.
