Take the Samsung notebook from the "Samsung set up Center" for example, on the Network tab, in the Move Hotspot settings interface, open the switch that uses my device as an Internet access point (AP) to automatically generate an SSID (Wi-Fi hotspot name) and a corresponding password. This is to share the notebook network (via RJ45 connected wired network) to other mobile devices.
Similarly, Lenovo notebook can be in the "Lenovo Center" Network and Wireless tab interface to create a mobile hotspot, enter a custom SSID and password, and then click the "Start Sharing" button. To prevent a laptop from sleeping or sleeping, the software also provides the option to sleep when the laptop is not shared.
Since most of these notebook features are powered on, they are used to occupy system resources, so if they can provide Wi-Fi shared functionality, it is obviously quicker and safer than installing third party software.
