System: Ubuntu Mate 17.10
Problem Description:
The bedroom only has the wired network, but the mobile phone wants to use the WiFi, but the Ubuntu system does not have the ready-made wifi sharing software;
Solution:
Check the network manager in the upper right corner of the system and select the Edit Connection option in the dropdown menu.
In the Network connection window that pops up, click the "+" sign in the lower left corner to create a network with a connection type of Wi-Fi;
Pop-up network editing interface, by default in the Wi-Fi bar, the connection name (N) and SSID name set consistent, mode selection hotspot (There are many tutorials selected for the client or AD-HOC, but I found that the network can be created, but cannot connect), the Wi-Fi bar of the other items bao into default;
The regular bar, tick off the automatically link to this network (A) option when available, only keep all users can connect this network (U) option;
Wi-Fi security bar, Security (E) in the selection of WPA and WPA2 personal options, password (P) to set their own password;
The proxy bar remains the default option;
IPv4 The Settings bar, method (M), select Share with other computers option, others keep the default configuration;
IPv6 settings, in Method (M), select the Ignore option, and other keep the default configuration;
Finally click on the lower right corner of the save button;
Select the network manager in the upper-right corner of the system, because Wi-Fi networks do not show the WiFi hotspots we wear, so choose Connect to Hidden Wi-Fi network in the dropdown menu ... Options
In the pop-up window, select the WiFi name you created in the Connect (O) option and click Connect to connect to and use the WiFi network on other devices;
