When you install a Linux system using a virtual machine , you need to simply set up the virtual machine and the Linux system to properly connect to the host network. Follow these steps to set it up:
First, the network settings for the Linux system in the virtual machine are:
1. Click "System"-"Preferences"-"networkconnections" As shown in the following :
2. Click "Wired"-"System eth0"and "Edit" as shown:
3, tick "Connect automaticlly", then click "ipv4settings", Select "Automatic (DHCP) in the Method below "and finally click on"Apply"as shown in:
Then set up the network for the virtual machine:
1. Click Edit--"virtual network Editor", as shown in:
2. Click "Restore default Settings" as shown in:
Finally, set the virtual machine to Internet mode as NAT:
1. in the virtual machine state, double-click the "network adapter" as shown in:
2. tick "Connect at startup", check "NAT mode", and then click "OK" as shown:
How Linux does not work in virtual machines
