No time to make a movie? Let IMovie HD help you make one from the clip clips of the camera. The method is as follows:
1. Connect the DV or HDV camera to your computer's FireWire port, then turn on the camera power and switch to VTR mode.
2. Open IMovie HD and choose "Make Magic IMovie" from "File" menu.
3. Enter the name of your movie in the "movie title" of the dialog box, select any IMovie option to make the movie (you can choose the cut effect, the soundtrack, or send the completed movie directly to IDVD), and then press "make" Shilai to start making the movie.
Edit a movie
1. Retrieve clip fragments as described above, or enter a movie file from the hard drive to IMovie (select "Input" from the "File" menu) and browse and select a movie file in the dialog box, then press the "open" button.
2. Select a fragment in the clip fragment panel that you want to be the starting point for the movie, and drag it to the time column. This fragment is displayed in the preview panel.
3. Press the play button (the triangle to the right) to preview the movie. If you want to crop the fragment, drag the beginning or end of the fragment in the time column and move to the middle of the fragment.
To crop the start or end point of a fragment, simply drag the edge of the fragment to the middle.
4. Continue dragging more fragments and crop them as needed. If you want to rearrange the order of clip fragments or insert a fragment between them, you just drag the clip fragment to the position you want to place.
5. Once you have completed the sequence of the movie, press the "cut effect" Shilai to display the "Cut effect" panel. A cut-and-click effect can help clip-point fragment scenes to be naturally converted.
6. To add a cut effect, select a clip fragment in the Time column, and then choose a cut effect from the list to see the effect of the preview (in the small preview window). You can use the slider to set the time. When everything is perfect, drag the selected scene effect image (Blue Square) from the panel to the middle of the two fragments of the time column. You can use the same method to apply more of the cut-and-go effects you want to join.
7. If you want to add subtitles to the title, press the "caption" Shilai to display its settings. You can preview the effect of the marquee by selecting a marquee style. Then you can enter the title you want in the field, adjust the speed and pause sliders to control the animation effect and length, or select the other options you want. Finally, drag the selected caption image (a square with a T word) from the Panel to the start of the time column. Please repeat the above steps to complete the title of the end of the piece.
8. To add one or two special effects, please press "special effects" Shilai display effects panel. You can choose a special effect to preview its effects. To add a special effect to a clip fragment, select the fragment in the Time column, select the effect, adjust the slider to control the length or other properties, and then press the "Apply" button.

10. When the clip is finished, you can output the movie so that others will have the opportunity to enjoy it together. Select "Share" from the "Files" menu and select the Media (email, web, QuickTime, or other) and other options for the movie, and then press the "Share" button.
