After you sign in to Messenger, you can see that the contact list is empty in the main program window, and only contacts can be exchanged online. The system house below will describe how to add and manage contacts.
(1) Add a contact
1th step: After you sign in to Messenger, click the Add Contact icon in the Main program window.
Step 2nd: Eject the Add Contact dialog box, enter the contact e-mail address you want to add in the Instant Messaging Address text box, and click the Add Contact button.
(2) Managing contacts
To make it easier to relate to a contact, you can group the contacts on Windowslivemessenger based on the class.
Step 1th: In Windows XP, click the Show Menu button in the main window of the program to perform the contacts-create Group command on the pop-up shortcut menu.
Step 2nd: Eject the New Group dialog box, enter the name of the new group in the Enter Group name text box, and then click the Save button.
Step 3rd: If you want to add a contact from another group to the newly established group, select the contact, and then drag to the new group.
Tip: Before you create a new group, Messenger has 3 default groups, namely family, friends, and co-workers. After the new group is created, 3. The default group is automatically deleted.
