The design files and library files between pulsonix and Protel and dxp can be shared with each other. You need to convert Protel files into ASCII files.

1. Import the Protel schematic file to pulsonix

A. Select the 4 port serial interface project (the design project instance that comes with Protel ),
Open the Protel schematic file of 4 port serial interface. prj,

B. Choose File> Save As from the menu,
Save as *. ASC file. Get the default file backup of copy of 4 port serial interface. prj

C. Open pulsonix,
Choose File> open,
In the displayed dialog box, select the file type,
Open the backup of copy of 4 port serial interface. prj project file,

D. Set Technology and profile file to none,
You can also modify the project name in design.

2. Import the principle library file of PROTEL

A. Open the actel user programmable. Lib file in actel user programmable. DDB,

B. Save it as an ASC file and export it,

 

C. in pulsonix, click setup-> libraries. The Library Manager dialog box is displayed. Select the schematic symbols tab and select user from the current drop-down list. SSL (library package), click Import.

D. Set Technology to none

E. The contents text box contains a list of all components in the library package. The preview box shows the preview of the currently selected component. The technology file drop-down box shows that the style of the current component library is in the white background.
During the import process, the pad error warning will appear,

After the pad must be imported, re-import the Sch database file once.

 

3. Import the Protel PCB File

A. Open the PCB File and save it as an ASCII export file.

 

B. In pulsonix, choose file-> open, select the PCB ASCII file format, and set Technology to none.

 

4. Import the Protel PCB pad

A. Open PGA. lib and save it as the *. Lib file.

B. In pulsonix, click setup> libraries. In the Library Manager dialog box that appears, select the PCB footprints tab, select user. PFL from the current drop-down list, and click Import.

 

Select the Lib file exported from Protel, click open, and set Technology to none.

 

 4. Import Protel PCB components

Always pilot pad (encapsulation), and then import the schematic component. Otherwise, an error will occur when importing the component.
