Is it a tragedy that you have a situation in which you export a database, go back home and import your own computer, and then find that the database version does not match?

The following approach avoids this tragedy by exporting the data as a script, which is more flexible.

1. Select the database to export and right-click on "task--Generate script (E) ...".

2. Click Next in the popup screen.

3. Next select whether you want to export the entire database or an individual table.

4. Set the export schema or data, and select the script path.

5. Click Next until the export is complete.
