The Eclipse plugin is installed in many ways, such as online, link, and so on. I'm using a copy of the plugin to the Dropins folder, which is loaded when eclipse or MyEclipse starts,
Sometimes this way may not load successfully, we can manually add the configuration file (Configuration\org.eclipse.equinox.simpleconfigurator\bundles.info)
Here is the installation example of the Checkstyle plugin, my version is 6.1.0, can be modified according to the version number that I download
1, first to Checkstyle's official website (https://sourceforge.net/projects/eclipse-cs/files/?source=navbar) Download your corresponding plug-in.
2. Unzip the files into the Dropins folder
3, you can directly open the Eclipse tool to see if it can be loaded successfully, click Window->preferences, see if there are the following plugins appear. There is no need for a fourth step operation
4, if not loaded successfully, we can manually configure the load file, open the tool directory Configuration\org.eclipse.equinox.simpleconfigurator\bundles.info file for editing,
Add content as follows:
Net.sf.eclipsecs.branding,6.1.0.201411141422,dropins/checkstyle/plugins/net.sf.eclipsecs.branding_ 6.1.0.201411141422.jar/,4,false
Net.sf.eclipsecs.checkstyle,6.1.0.201411141422,dropins/checkstyle/plugins/net.sf.eclipsecs.checkstyle_ 6.1.0.201411141422.jar/,4,false
net.sf.eclipsecs.core,6.1.0.201411141422,dropins/checkstyle/plugins/net.sf.eclipsecs.core_6.1.0.201411141422. Jar/,4,false
Net.sf.eclipsecs.doc,6.1.0.201411141422,dropins/checkstyle/plugins/net.sf.eclipsecs.doc_6.1.0.201411141422.jar /,4,false
net.sf.eclipsecs.ui,6.1.0.201411141422,dropins/checkstyle/plugins/net.sf.eclipsecs.ui_6.1.0.201411141422.jar/, 4,false
5. Then restart the tool to see the plugin.
