How the ThinkPad laptop turns on or off the SCROLL LOCK feature

The Scroll lock key is also called the SCROLL LOCK key. The Scroll lock key was first seen on the IBM PC/XT model's 83 keyboard and on the 84 keyboard of the At interface. Today, the Scroll lock key is not only on the 101 keyboards of the PCs we use frequently, but also on the Mac's "enhanced" keyboard with Scroll lock keys.

The Sroll lock key is of great use in the DOS era. Because of the technical limitations of that era, the computer display can only display 80 characters long 25 lines of text. In this way, when we read the document, we can easily roll the page with the SCROLL LOCK key.

After entering the Windows age, with the development of technology, Scroll Lock key function is also getting smaller. Now we are able to use the SCROLL LOCK key where it is estimated to have Excel. Press this key, when Excel, and so on press, the next key scrolling, will lock the cursor and scroll the page, if you release this key, press the up and down keys will scroll the cursor without scrolling the page.

Before the old ThinkPad Machine (20 series, including), the key has a separate button, but after the new Machine (30 series), the keyboard layout does not have the key
