Although the need for this tip is not as frequent as Windows end Explorer, it is useful to know for a rainy moment. Here's a collection of tips for restarting or completely ending the Finder process, and you're welcome to add more and better ways to share in the comments.
Restart the Finder process
Method 1: Press option and right-click the Finder icon to "Reopen" the Finder, as shown on the left; Method 2: Open the "Force exit Application" feature by using the shortcut key option + Command + ESC to select Reboot Finder, as shown in; Method 3: Refer to the "Alternative keyboard strong retreat" a share of the shortcut keys 3 seconds strong withdrawal program tip; Method 4: Open the terminal (Terminal) and type one of the following instructions:
Killall Finder
Kill-hup ' PS Auxc | grep Finder | awk ' {print $} '
End the Finder process completely
Open Terminal (Terminal) and type the following command:
Defaults write Com.apple.finder Quitmenuitem-bool YES
Then restart the Finder process in any one of the above restart methods. The "Exit Finder" menu item appears in the Finder menu (the shortcut key is Command + Q), as shown on the right. All right, let's try it!
