1, the Extender does not need to upgrade the software when used normally.

2, the new software is usually optimized for the extender, so it is not a special requirement, do not recommend the new software recovery to the old software.

Login Extender Admin interface, click Run status, Record extender current software version and hardware version, as shown below.

Among them, Wa832re represents the product model, V1 represents the hardware version, and 150413 represents the current software version.

After the upgrade, the Extender will automatically restore the factory settings and the previous configuration will be lost. Recommended upgrade before the system Tools >> Backup and load configuration files, click the Backup Profile button. After the upgrade is complete, you can configure the import before.

Attention. If you do not have a configuration, you do not need to export.

Download the corresponding upgrade software to the website

Click on the software you want to download and download the Tl-wa832re v1.0_150730 Standard version in this example. and click the Immediate download icon

, you can save the software to the computer desktop, easy to find. Right-click on the download complete upgrade software and extract it to the desktop as shown in the following illustration.

Attention. If the right click on the compressed package does not have the decompression option, the computer does not install the decompression software, please install the decompression software first.

After decompression will be reborn into a folder, as shown below. You'll need to browse to the files in this folder in the next step, so keep in mind where you unpacked the folders. In this example, the folder is placed on the desktop.

The Extender does not have a LAN port (wired interface) and needs to be upgraded using a computer wireless connection extender signal.

A wireless signal that connects the computer to the extender (you can turn off the main router to make sure that the Extender signal is connected), tplogin.cn the login management interface by managing the address.

Login Extender management interface, click on System Tools >> software upgrades, click to browse, as shown below.

Browse for folders after decompression on your computer's desktop, and then click Wa832rev1.bin when you open the folder. The filename is automatically displayed as Wa832rev1.bin, and click Open. The following figure.

It then automatically returns to the software upgrade interface, which displays the full path of the selected bin file. Without any modification, click the Upgrade button, as shown below.

The Extender cannot power off during the upgrade, or it will cause the Extender to become corrupted. The Extender will automatically reboot after successful upgrade. The whole process lasts for about 2-3 minutes, please be patient.

After the reboot is complete, the Extender restores the factory settings, the wireless signal of the computer wireless connection extender. Tp-link_re_xxxx (x indicates four digits after MAC address).

Enter tplogin.cn in the browser, set the administrator password and log on to the router interface, the running status can be viewed to the current software version 150730, indicating that the upgrade has been successful.

The Extender software upgrade is complete. You can restore the System Tools >> Backup and load configuration files, click Browse to locate the previously backed up profile and click Load configuration file before configuring. If you did not back up the configuration files before upgrading, reset the Extender.
