How to add a background picture to a data region in Excel 2013
1, start Excel 2013 and open the worksheet, on the Page Layout tab, in the Header Settings group, click the Background button, as shown in Figure 1.

2. Open the Insert Picture window and click the From File button, as shown in Figure 2. The Sheet Background dialog box opens, selects the picture as the background, and then clicks the Insert button to insert it into the worksheet, as shown in Figure 3.

3, press "CTRL + a" key to select the entire worksheet, on the Start tab, in the Font group, click the bottom triangle button on the Fill Color button, and select the White option in the theme Colors field of the Open Drop-down list to fill the entire worksheet with white, as shown in Figure 4.

4. Select the data range on the worksheet, and on the Start tab, in the Font group, click the bottom triangle button on the Fill Color button and select the No Fill Color option in the Open Drop-down list, as shown in Figure 5. At this point, the background picture will be displayed only in the selected data range, and the other area of the worksheet will not be displayed because it is covered with a white fill color.

Attention
Click the File tab and select the Save As option on the left side of the window to open the Save As dialog box. Select the Single File Web page (*.mhb,*.mhtml) option in the Save as type Drop-down list to save the workbook as a Web page file and then save the background picture to enable you to extract the background picture from the Excel worksheet.
