Enter Safe mode is generally in the boot when press F8 key, but rookie will often miss the timing of the F8 button and lead to the computer directly started, which has to restart the computer to press F8 again. Isn't it troublesome to be so repetitive? In fact, we can add safe mode to the system boot menu to facilitate our operation.

Add "Safe Mode" to the Startup menu as another "operating system". The specific methods are as follows:

1. Right-click My Computer on the desktop, left select Properties, select the Advanced tab in the Open System Properties dialog box, and click the Settings button in the Startup and recovery item.

2. In the newly opened Startup and Recovery dialog box, click the Edit button in the system startup item, and then open the Boot.ini file in Notepad, and we will "multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) windows=" in the file. The Microsoft Windows XP Professional "/noexecute=optin/fastdetect" content is copied and pasted one line below it, and the Professional in the pasted row is changed to Safe mode. Close the Notepad window after saving.

For example:

multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) windows= "Microsoft WINDOWS XP security Mode"

3, click "Start" → run, enter Msconfig carriage return in the Open Run window or click OK to open the System Configuration Utility dialog box

In the "BOOT." INI tab, click Multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) windows= "Microsoft WINDOWS XP security mode"/noexecute=optin/fastdetect " You can then check the/safeboot (F) item in the startup options below it, or select the next network (meaning Safe mode with network connectivity).
