During the vro management process, we may often need to upgrade the ios of the vroios. Before the upgrade, we recommend that the network administrator back up the IOS image to the TFTP server so that the correct IOS image can be restored when the upgrade fails.
In the following example, we assume that the TFTP server is a PC with a TFTP program and the IP address is 129.0.0.3. We will back up the ios of the IT168 router to this server, and load the new IOS image version from TFTP.
1. Copy IOS to the TFTP server:
IT168> enable
User: xxxx
Password: xxxx
IT168 # copy flash tftp
Ip address of remote host: [255.255.255.255]? 129.0.0.3
Filename to write on tftp hose? C4500-l
Writing c4500-l !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Successful tftp write
It168 #
After you type the copy flash tftp Command, the vro requires you to enter the IP address of the remote TFTP server and the IOS image name in the server. The vro uses a exclamation mark to prompt the network manager that the copy is successful.
2. Update the IOS image from the TFTP server:
