In recent years, many cities have established urban financial networks. The construction of these networks has promoted the construction of electronic finance in various regions. Vro is a key device of the city financial network and a bridge to the computer network. It can not only connect different networks, but also select data transmission channels and block illegal access. This document describes the application experience of Cisco routers.

Backing up the configuration of a Cisco router is an important part of routine maintenance. Because the configuration of the router is complicated, once the user configuration is lost, manual recovery is not only heavy, but also prone to errors. Therefore, user configuration backup should be performed each time the router configuration change is successfully completed. To back up the configuration of a Cisco router, you must install the TFTP software. The specific configuration method for backing up a Cisco router is as follows:

1. Start the TFTP Server

To start the TFTP Server in Windows 95/98, you only need to execute TFTP.

2. Back up Cisco router configurations

Run the copy running-config tftp Command on the vro master terminal and enter relevant information as prompted. The procedure is as follows:

1. Execute the command: route # copy running-config tftp (write the configuration file running on the vro to the TFTP Server ).

2. The system prompts: Remote host []? Enter 11.66.81.88 (the IP address or Host Name of the TFTP Server ).

3. The system prompts: Name of configuration file to write [route-config]? Enter: ciscoconf (name of the configuration file for backing up the Cisco router, or press enter to use the default route-config as the name of the configuration file ).

4. The system prompts: Write file conf-ciscoconf on host 11.66.81.88? [Confirm]. This step allows the user to confirm whether the host name or Host IP address is correct. If the information is correct, press Enter. The system starts to back up the Cisco router configuration file and displays the following information:

Building configuration...
Writing route-config !!! [OK]

It should be emphasized that during the backup process, carefully observe the router backup process and ensure that each package is successfully saved, that is, the Writing route-config and [OK] must be both "!" Otherwise, it is best to rewrite it once. In addition, after the configuration of the backup Cisco router is complete, it is best to use the text editing software to open the backup file and check whether the backup is successful.
