In windows, I can use IE to open the file content. In linux, firefox does not support mht files by default, you need to install a plug-in for normal browsing. I checked it online today and finally found a solution to download a plug-in named maf from firefox. (If I wanted to upload an attachment, I couldn't find the place to upload the attachment in days) use firefox maf * on the terminal, and firefox will pop up a dialog box for installing the plug-in. Now firefox can display files in mht format.
