How to build local area network through VPC in this machine

A few days ago at home to test a distributed application based on Ws-at, but the VPN connected to the company network has a problem, have to use VPC in this machine to build a local area network. Although I have done this before, may be a long time did not get, some details are not clear, so also toss for a while. Here, I deliberately write an article to introduce the entire process based on VPC LAN, there is no technical content, only to have the same needs of friends more than a reference.

My current host machine is Windows 7 Ultimate (X64), Virtual machine for Windows Server 2008 (X86), all ready-made. This article does not cover the issue of how to secure VPC, just how to make the host PC and VPC the two hosts that can be linked to one another on the same LAN, following are the 3 main steps:

Step One: Install the Microsoft Loopback Adapter network adapter

Open device Manager, right-click on the host name and select "ADD legacy Hardware" from the context menu.

A welcome to the ADD Hardware Wizard Object box appears, clicking the "Next" button.

Enter the following dialog box, select the second option "Install the Hardware" I manually select from a list (Advanced), and then click the "Next" button.
