How to change the number of WIN2K server connections

I often come into contact with friends in the company, Internet cafes, and other local networks. Sometimes I may encounter some troubles about sharing connections between WIN 2 k servers. Sometimes I share files with a host, other computers cannot be connected when they are accessed through their network peers. The displayed dialog box shows that the number of hosts authorized by Microsoft has exceeded **. I cannot remember the words in the dialog box, this means that the maximum value acceptable to the server has been exceeded, and therefore cannot be connected to the server.

In fact, this number of connections can be changed by default when the system is installed. It should be 10 (uncertain). However, if the system is installed, there is no way to change the number, of course not, but I was very depressed when I encountered this situation. I asked a few friends and I couldn't find a solution, in the end, my friend Lang Ziyan asked his friend to find a way to modify and increase the number of connections. For some companies and Internet cafes, most companies and Internet cafes use the sharing mode to view the files to be shared, so I still feel that it is necessary to write them out, although it's simpler ~~

Open-control panel-authorize,

Add a "per server" license to the local server

On the server you want to configure, open authorization in Control Panel.
In product, click the product for which you want to add a license.
Click Add license ".
In product, click the product.
In "quantity", type the number of new licenses purchased by the organization, and click "OK ".
If you agree to the terms of authorization, select the "I agree" check box and click "OK ".
Note:

To open the "control panel" item, click "start", point to "Settings", click "Control Panel", and double-click the corresponding icon.
If Windows 2000 Server is only used as the operating system of the application and does not provide basic network services (such as file sharing, printer sharing, and communication), you can set the number of concurrent connections to zero.
This process is only used to register a customer access license purchased on a server running in "per server" mode. For more information about how to add a license when a server runs in "per customer" mode, see related topics.
To perform this process locally on the server, click "authorize" in the control panel ".

This WIN2K is an authorization mode. For details, windows 2000 supports two authorization modes:

A. simultaneous connections per server (5 --> XX)
B. Each connection must have its own "Client Access License"
C. Each customer
Each computer must have its own "Client Access License". To avoid infringement of the license agreement, use authorization (in "Administrative Tools) to record the number of "Client Access Licenses" that have been purchased.

Note: When enabling authorization, the number of connections per server and each customer should be selected. Remember not to use the number of connections per server. This is used for connection between the sub-client. I am not familiar with the specific situation, note that each service can be converted to each customer in the future, but each customer cannot be converted to each service. Therefore, be careful when performing operations.

If you want to delete the number of authorizations, the operation is similar to the number added to the authorization list:

Delete the "per server" license on the local server

On the server you want to configure, open authorization in Control Panel.
In product, click the server product to delete the license.
Click Delete license ".
Under "Serial Number", click the certificate to change.
In "number of licenses to be deleted", type the number of licenses to be deleted, and click "delete ".
To close the dialog box, click Cancel ".
This operation only closes the dialog box without canceling any changes.

Note:

After deleting a product license, you can assign these licenses to different servers.
