In a Word2013 document, a SmartArt graphic has default geometry, such as a rectangle or a circle. The user can change the SmartArt graphic shape to any shape that is available in the word shape library as needed, as described in the following procedure:
Step 1th, open the Word2013 document window and select the SmartArt graphic shape that you want to change the geometry.
Step 2nd, open the SmartArt Tools/Formatting Ribbon, and click the Change Shape button in the Shapes group. Select the appropriate geometry in the list of open shapes, as shown in Figure 2013080931.

Word Home Tip: If you want to restore the default shape after you change the geometry of your SmartArt graphic, you can right-click the changed geometry and choose the Reset Shape command on the Open shortcut menu, as shown in Figure 2013080932.
