How to check whether a website is popular

 
When you visit a website, do you know that this website has a certain popularity? I will talk a little bit about it and I will share it with you:
1. Query the registration date of the domain name.
2. View the traffic statistics on Amazon (alexa) and the ranking of the website in the world.
3. Check the number of external links of the website.
4. View PageRank (PR) of each page of the website ).
5. Search for the number of pages on the website.
The following describes the procedure in detail. The website www.sina.cn (SINA) is used as an example:
1. Query the registration date of the domain name.
Go to the HiChina homepage http://www.net.cn and enter the domain name at the domain name query:
Prompt "registered domain name: sina.cn". Click the sina.cn hyperlink to view the domain name registration date. Find the Creation Date. We can see that the domain name registration Date is August 27, 2002. View the domain name registration date to understand the approximate time of website operation and determine the potential of the website based on other data.
2. View the traffic statistics on Amazon (alexa) and the ranking of the website in the world.
GO to the Amazon home page http://www.alexa.com, in the Search the web input www.sina.cn, and then click GO, there are a lot of Search results, find www.sina.cn, click Site Info, as shown in the figure below, Traffic Rank for aaa.com: xxxx (here X indicates the ranking of the website) indicates the world ranking of the domain name.
This world ranking indicates the average ranking in the last three months. The average alexa value is 3 ~ Updating the world rankings of websites once every eight days may change a lot. Click See Traffic Details to view projects such as Traffic rank, Reach per million users, Reach rank, Page Views per user, and Page Views rank. Where, 1 wk. avg. the average value in one week; 3 mos. avg. the average value in three months; 3 mos. change indicates a Change within three months.
Traffic rank indicates the average world ranking in the current three months. alexa determines the Page Views, that is, the number of webpages accessed by netizens and the progressive measurement of refreshing. Reach per million users indicates IP addresses accessed by millions of users, and Reach rank indicates the world ranking by IP number.
If No date or N/A is displayed for all projects, it indicates that the website has No world ranking data or is out of the 4 million ranking.
3. Check the number of external links of the website.
Go back to the Site Info page and you can see the number of external links next to it. For example, Other sites that link to this site: 5,061, indicates that a total of 5061 pages of other websites have links to the website. What is the significance of external links? An external link indicates the link of an external website to any page of the website, referred to as an external link. The more external links there are, the more conducive it is to improve the PageRank of the website, the more it can be said that the website has a wide range of contact with external websites. For example, www.111cn.net
Where do these external links come from? It is not just a link, but a link referenced by an external website to any page of the website, such as a link contained in a search engine or category directory.
4. View PageRank of each page of the website.
First, go to http://toolbar.google.com/intl/zh-cnto download and install the googletool. Every time a page is opened, PageRank of the page is displayed. For example, the PageRank of a Chinese website is 8, as shown in the following figure:
PageRank is the page level. Google judges the importance of this page. The higher PageRank is, the more favorable it is for the ranking of keywords searched by Google. The PageRank level is from 0 ~ 10. How do netizens objectively view PageRank? For a website that has been operating normally for more than two years, PageRank can reach 3 ~ 5 or more. The longer a website is, the higher the PageRank.

5. Search for the number of pages on the website.
Take Baidu as an example. Go to the Baidu homepage and enter site: sina.cn in the search box. Click to view details of B2b168 on Baidu. For a website, more than 80% of the traffic comes from the search engine, so this item has a high reference value.
The popularity of the website is evaluated based on the above five indicators. Some indicators also change frequently. For example, the alexa ranking is between 3 and 3 ~ PageRank changes once every eight days.
Generally, websites with only four or more PR websites rank within 0.1 million in the world, which is a very popular website. The world ranks below 1.5 million, and the Traffic Details parameters are on the rise, indicating that the website may have a promising future in the short term. It takes at least half a year for a new website to achieve the desired status ~ 2 years.
