How to clarify wireless network faults

Wireless networks have become quite popular, but we often encounter problems during use. How can we solve them? I have summarized many experiences and hope to help you.

Wireless Internet access through wireless routers has become increasingly popular. However, during wireless Internet access, we often encounter various network faults, these network faults seriously affect normal internet access efficiency. As a matter of fact, we only need to strengthen troubleshooting at ordinary times and summarize the troubleshooting experience of various common network faults in a timely manner. We believe that we will be able to manage wireless networks in the future!

Check the connection line to resolve faults

When you view the wireless network connection status information, we sometimes see that the wireless network can send information externally, but cannot receive information from the outside, this one-way communication will obviously affect our normal wireless access operations. When one-way communication in wireless networks is troublesome, We Can troubleshoot the problem one by one based on the following ideas:

First, ensure that the wireless network connection line is smooth. When checking whether the line is connected, we can open the IE browser first, in the pop-up window, enter the default IP address used by the router in the address bar (this address can be found from the router Operation Manual), and then enter the router login account correctly, open the vro background management interface. Then, run the ping command on the management interface to ping the DNS server address provided by the local Internet service provider. If the target address can be pinged, it indicates that the connection between the router device and the Internet service provider is in a smooth State. If the target address cannot be pinged, it indicates that some parameters in the router may not be set correctly, in this case, we must check the configuration parameters in the vro one by one.

On the premise that the internal configuration parameters of the vro are correct, we can find a workstation with correct network configuration and normal Internet access in the LAN, and execute the ping command in the workstation, ping the IP address used by the router. If the IP address can be pinged properly, it means that the connection between the lines in the LAN is also in a smooth State. If the IP address used by the router cannot be pinged, therefore, it is necessary to check whether the network parameters used by the local workstation are consistent with those used by the vro, that is, whether their address parameters are in the same network segment. If the above addresses can be successfully pinged, but the wireless network connection is still in the status of sending and not receiving, check whether the DNS parameters and gateway parameter settings of the local workstation are correct. After confirming that these parameters are correct, we need to go to the vro backend management interface again, find the NAT parameter setting option and check whether the option is correctly configured, check whether the NAT address translation table contains any translation entries for the internal network address. If not, the failure of wireless network connection is mostly caused by improper NAT configuration. In this case, we only need to correctly Add the translation entries of the internal network addresses to the NAT address translation table.

Troubleshoot connection methods to solve intermittent network disconnection failures

When a local LAN is connected to the Internet through a wireless router, if the workstations in the LAN often fail to access the Internet for a while, first, we need to ensure that the Internet access parameters between the workstation and the wireless router are correct. Therefore, we should focus on checking whether the connection mode of the wireless router is set properly. Generally, a wireless router device supports three or more connection modes. However, by default, most wireless router devices use "On-Demand connection, this connection method is used to automatically connect when data is accessed. In other words, at a certain time, the wireless router automatically checks whether there is no-load line at this time, if the device does not detect data interaction on the line after successful connection, it will automatically disconnect the connected wireless connection line. To this end, when we encounter intermittent network disconnection during the actual Internet access process, we can try to go to the wireless router backend management settings interface and find the connection method setting options, check whether the parameter of this option has been set to "automatic connection, automatic connection after startup and disconnection". If it is incorrect, you must modify the connection method in time, finally, perform the save operation on the backend management interface, save the previous Parameter Modification Operation, and restart the wireless router device. I believe this will solve the intermittent network disconnection in most cases.

Of course, when the above settings still cannot solve the intermittent network disconnection problem, we need to check whether there is a network virus attack in the Local Wireless LAN, because once the ARP network is attacked by a virus, intermittent network disconnection may also occur. In this case, open the local connection attribute settings window in the local workstation system and go to the properties settings page of the NIC device, in this interface, try to modify the IP address used by the network adapter to see if the intermittent network disconnection failure still works under the new IP address condition. If the fault persists, we must use professional antivirus tools and software to protect the wireless LAN.

Troubleshoot the connection location to solve the problem

When trying wireless access, if we find that the access speed is very slow, we should conduct two troubleshooting operations. First, check whether the WEB server we are currently accessing is busy. Once the target server is busy, the only thing we can do is to avoid peak Internet traffic; if the access speed to the WEB server is slow at any time, it is mostly caused by weak wireless transmission signals. The main cause of weak wireless transmission signals is the improper placement of the connection locations of wireless router devices. To increase the intensity of wireless signals as much as possible, we must place the wireless router device in a relatively high location, and ensure that there cannot be more cement walls between the device and the workstation, otherwise, the transmission of wireless signals is easily subject to external interference, resulting in a huge signal attenuation, thus affecting the access speed of wireless networks. In addition, you should be reminded that if the wireless router device is used in a LAN, you must ensure that the device is located in the center of all workstations, so that each workstation can transmit data quickly.

Troubleshoot connection status to resolve logon failures

First of all, we need to declare that the "login failure" mentioned here mainly refers to the failure to log on to the background management interface of the wireless router. There are many reasons why the wireless router cannot log on, we should first start with the connection status of the wireless router to check whether the device has hardware faults at this time. In general, we can quickly determine whether the device has hardware faults by observing the signal lights in the wireless router control panel. For example, if the power signal of the wireless router is not bright, it is likely that the input voltage of the device is abnormal. At this time, we must replace a new wireless router device; if the power signal is always on, this is also abnormal. In this case, we may check the broadband lines connected to the device and try again with other network cables.

When the connection status of the wireless router is confirmed to be normal, go to the LAN workstation system and check the network connection currently in use, check whether the IP address used by the workstation is a dynamic IP address or a static IP address. If the previous IP address is a dynamic IP address, we can try to change the IP address of the workstation to a static IP address, disable the network firewall function of the local system. Through the above efforts, if we still cannot log on to the wireless router, we can try to modify the IE settings. When modifying the IE settings, we can open the IE browser window first, in the left-side Navigation Pane, run the "Tools"/"Internet Options" command. In the displayed Internet Options window, click the "Connect" tab, select "Never dial-up connections" on the corresponding tab page, and then click the "LAN Settings" button on the tab page, on the subsequent settings page, clear all options, and click OK to complete the IE setting operation. After completing the above settings, try entering the router address in the IE browser address box to connect, maybe this will allow you to log on to the wireless router smoothly.

If the preceding troubleshooting fails, we can use the "Recover" button in the wireless router Control Panel to restore all the device parameters to the factory settings, and then reset them, it is believed that this will probably solve the login failure.
