How to clear extra blank lines in a document in WPS text

There will inevitably be extra empty lines in the process of editing a document. Is there any better way to clear all or part of a blank line in a longer document? Method one, using the "Delete empty section" in the Type tool

A general blank line would be a separate section with no characters. Therefore, to clear all blank lines in the document, you can do so by using the delete empty section in the Text tool provided in the WPS text.

Quick Open WPS Try it, select "tools → text tool → delete empty section" On the menu bar, see Figure 1:

When you select Delete empty segments, you can easily clear extra empty lines and empty segments.

Method two, using "Find and replace"

In fact, using our familiar "Find and replace" can also clear excess blank lines, but also optionally clear the extra empty lines.

Open the Find and Replace dialog box, switch to the Replace tab, and in the Find what text box, fill in "^p" in the text box "^p^p" and "Replace with". When you click the Find Next button, you can find the blank line in the document, and if you find an extra blank line that you want to clear, you can click the Replace button to clear the found blank line. If you want to clear all the blank lines in your document, you can click the Replace All button several times, until the pop-up message box shows "search completed for the document and complete 0 replacements". As shown in Figure 2, Figure 3:

Note that the last part of the document, if there is a blank line (that is, an empty paragraph), after clicking the Replace All button several times, you will find that the information box shown in Figure 3 finally shows only "finished searching the document and completed 1 replacements", and cannot show "the search for the document completed and 0 replacements completed." It doesn't matter, but all the empty lines in the document have been cleared.
