How to collect VNX logs

Fault symptom:

How to collect VNX logs and what files need to be collected?

Solution:

VNX needs to collect two logs

 

One copy is the dump log, which exists in/nas/var/dump. You can use WinSCP to log on to the Control Station and collect it.

 

The other is support materials. You need to log on to Control Station using SSH and enter the following command:

 

/Nas/tools/collect_support_materials

 

After running, the file name and path are returned, as shown in the following figure:

 

 

You can also use WinSCP to log on and download it.

 

The two logs must be collected when the File issue is reported to EMC Engineers. The WinSCP tool has been uploaded to the attachment.
