Recently, in the TFS test, many projects have been created on the TFS server. We found that in team explorer, only team projects can be removed, only remove the project from the current team explorer project list. When you connect to the TFS server next time, or refresh it, you will see that the project still exists. Finally, we found that you must use the command line method to delete a project. The usage is as follows:
1. Microsoft provides a deletion tool, which is located in the c: \ Program Files \ Microsoft Visual Studio 9 \ common7 \ ide \ directory and named tfsdeleteproject.exe. The usage is as follows:
Tfsdeleteproject [/q] [/force] [/Server: servername] Team Project Name
For example, the following command destroys the TFS server: storefront of the Team Project on adventureworks1, and then destroys it from the team resource manager.
Tfsdeleteproject/Server: adventureworks1 storefront
2. Note that if your team project name contains spaces, you must enclose it in quotation marks. For example:
Tfsdeleteproject/Server: adventureworks1 "my team project 1"
