How to configure Project Server 2010 with Exchange Server 2010

To configure the Project Web App settings:

To configure Exchange integration, the Project Server administrator must grant access to the Exchange Server instance, and the Exchange administrator must grant exchange access to the Project Server farm Administrator account Permissions.

Start Exchange Server Synchronization

In Microsoft Project Web App (PWA), click Server Settings.

In the Action Policy section, click More server settings.

On the Additional Server Settings page, in the Exchange Server Details section, select the Synchronize Tasks check box, and then click Save.

Each Exchange Client Access server in an Exchange server farm needs to have a user account in PWA. This account allows Exchange to invoke the Project Server Exchange Web Service when there is a task update that must be synchronized. Each Exchange client Access server should perform the following procedures:

Create a user account for an Exchange client Access server

In the Project Web App, click Server Settings.

In the Security section, click Manage Users.

On the Manage Users page, click New User.

On the new user page, clear the can assign users as resource check box, and in the Display Name box, type the name of the Exchange Client Access server. (such as: MAIL01)

In the User authentication section, select the Windows Authentication (use Windows account) option, and in the User logon account box, type the name of the Exchange Client Access server computer account. (such as: exchangecn\prosync$)

In the Security Groups section, in the Available Groups list, select Administrator, and then click Add.

Click Save.

Note: When adding this account, in the "ExchangeServer Details" section do not check "Sync task", otherwise the account can not add success.

You must set up synchronization for each Project Server user for which you want to synchronize tasks. Perform the following procedures for each user:
