How to configure storage pools and storage space in Windows Server 2012

Experimental environment: a physical computer with a WS2012 operating system installed, and a WS2012 virtual machine (DC1).

Task 1: Create a storage pool and storage space (virtual disk)

1. Use Admin account Administrator to log in to DC1.

2. In the taskbar, click the Server Manager icon.

3. In the Server Manager window, click Tools, click ' Computer Management ' in the Drop-down menu.

4. In the ' Computer Management ' window, click ' Store ' in the left navigation bar, ' Disk Management ', in the middle area, right-click ' Disk 1 ', and click ' Online ' in the Drop-down menu.

5. Right-click ' Disk 1 ', in the Drop-down menu, ' Initialize disk '

6. In the Initialize Disk dialog box, select GPT (GUID partition table), and then click ' OK '.
