How to configure PB7 connection to Oracle
The ORACLE tutorial is: how to set up PB7 to connect to Oracle.
System Environment:
1. Operating System: Windows 2000
2. Database: Oracle 8i R2 (8.1.6) for NT Enterprise Edition
3. installation path: C: \ ORACLE
Access Method:
1. First install the Oracle client application to ensure Oracle network connectivity
Configure the C: \ Oracle \ Ora81 \ network \ ADMIN \ tnsnames. ora file,
Create a database alias to connect to the server
Note:
Server-side Oracle database instance name: oradb
Server IP Address: 192.1.1.1
Make sure that the system/manager @ test1 connection can be used in the client SQL * Plus.
2. Enable PB7
Edit and configure the DB Profile
On the Oracle database interface, click "New"
Profile name: enter an easy-to-remember name. Server: Add database alias Login ID: Server-side Oracle Database Username Password: User Password
After adding the information, click "OK"
Select to_oradb, and click Connect to test the connection.
If the lower left corner of the screen appears, as shown in, the connection is successful.
