How to configure two wireless routers in a LAN

Most users who have been familiar with broadband routers know that the ports on the broadband routers are divided into WAN ports and LAN ports. A Broadband Router has the following features during work: data streams from the LAN to the WAN are not restricted by default through the router, and data streams from the Wan to the LAN are not allowed by default. (Note: The wireless access part of the Wireless Broadband Router belongs to the LAN range.) That is to say, packets sent from the computer in the LAN are sent to the LAN port of the router by default, the router can be sent from the WAN port smoothly through the router, but after the Active packets from the WAN end enter the WAN port, the router will not let those packets pass by default.
Through the actual test of the mouse, the network cable connected from the wired router can be connected to the WAN port and LAN port of the wireless router to achieve the use of the wireless network.

Note: the premise of this article is that you have a network cable connected from a normal wired router. This network cable is connected to the WAN port of the wireless router through a static IP address, for example, the LAN port connected to the wireless router is used as a Wireless AP. The following describes two Connection Methods:

The wireless router used by the mouse is TP-link r460 and TP-link wr541g. Therefore, the first connection method is: connect the WAN port of the wireless router: r460 LAN port --- wr541g Wan port. The second connection method is: connect the LAN port of the wireless router: r460 LAN port --- wr541g LAN port.

1. Connect the WAN port of the wireless router: r460 LAN port --- wr541g Wan port (assuming that the r460 LAN port uses the default IP address 192.168.1.1, you can enter the r460 router settings through 192.168.1.1, and r460 has been properly configured and can be accessed)

First, use a network cable to connect to the LAN port of the wireless router (wr541g) on a computer to enter the configuration interface (192.168.1.1 by default, and other wireless routers, based on the actual default IP address ); first, enter the LAN interface in the wireless router wr541g, and set it to 172.16.1.1. Then save and restart the router. Then, the default IP address of the wireless router wr541g will be changed to 172.16.1.1.

Then, in the current computer Nic attribute, change the IP address to 172.16.1.x (the X value ranges from 2 to 254), for example:

After setting, open IE, enter 172.16.1.1 in the address bar, enter the wr541g configuration page of the wireless router, set the WAN port of the wireless router, and select the static IP address in the WAN port connection type, set it to: IP address 192.168.1.x (x ranges from 2 to 254) subnet mask 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway 192.168.1.1. Note that IP address 192.168.1.x, where X must have never been used in the LAN, otherwise it may cause a conflict.

After the connection is complete, view the connection status of the wireless router wr541g as follows:

Set and save and restart the wireless router wr541g. For network wireless network settings, refer to the previous Wireless LAN (router) installation and configuration process on the home page.

Description: Why do we need to set the lan ip address of the wireless router first. This is because the LAN port IP address of r460 is its default gateway address for the wireless router wr541g. Because the default IP address of the wireless router wr541g is 192.168.1.1, and the default IP address of r460 is 192.168.1.1; therefore, to avoid IP conflicts between the two, you must set the default IP address of the wireless router wr541g.

Note: 1. At this time, the IP address of the wireless network adapter must be set to 172.16.1.x (the X value ranges from 2 to 254), and the gateway and DNS must be set to 172.16.1.1. However, if the wireless router wr541g enables the DHCP service, you may not need to set it. However, the mouse is not set successfully.

2. Enter the IP address set for the vro. The r460 wired router is 192.162.1.1 and the wr541g wireless router is 176.16.1.1.

3. After the connection is completed, the wireless router wr541g also functions as a router. Therefore, the TCP/IP attributes of the computer connected to the wireless router wr541g must be consistent with that of the wireless router wr541g!

2. Connect the LAN port of the wireless router (r460 LAN port --- wr541g LAN port) (assuming that the r460 LAN port uses the default IP address 192.168.1.1, you can enter the r460 router configuration through 192.168.1.1, and r460 has been properly configured and can be accessed)

This connection method is simple because the WAN port of the wireless router wr541g is not required to configure the WAN port.

Because the default IP address of the wireless router wr541g is 192.168.1.1, click IE and enter 192.168.1.1 to go to the wireless router wr541g settings page. Click DHCP server-DHCP service to disable the DHCP server.

Then, change the LAN port IP address of the wireless router wr541g, for example, to 192.168.1.254, as long as it does not conflict with other used IP addresses.

After the configuration is complete, the connection status of the wireless router wr541g is as follows. Because the wireless router wr541g only provides the wireless routing function, the connection status is empty.

The settings are complete. Save and restart the settings. For network wireless network settings, refer to the previous Wireless LAN (router) installation and configuration process on the home page.

Note: 1. Because the IP addresses of the wireless router wr541g and the wired router r460 are both 192.168.1.1, when setting the wireless router wr541g, do not associate the network connected by the r460 router first.

2. After configuring the wireless router wr541g and connecting to the r460 router in parallel, enter the IP address of the wireless router wr541g: 19.02.1.254 (what is the IP address of the LAN port of the wireless router you set here, ). The connection IP address of the r460 router is 192.168.1.1.

3. After the connection, the wireless router wr541g only provides the wireless routing function. Therefore, when entering different vro settings, be sure to enter different IP addresses to access different vro settings. The wireless router wr541g is equivalent to a "wireless switch", so the TCP/IP attributes of the computer connected to wr541g must be consistent with r460! This is equivalent to connecting these computers under r460!
