How to configure ZTE Optical Fiber cat f420 to bridge

Background:

1: two high-definition set-top boxes in the home, one optical fiber broadband (20 m/1 m)

2: Optical Fiber CAT (a device provided by China Telecom, similar to a router) has a total of four Network Ports, two Network Ports lan1 and lan2 are used to connect IPTV, and one network port lan4 is used to access the Internet.

3: network port 4 connects to the home wireless router

4: After the telecommunications staff install the fiber optic broadband, the default configuration in the fiber optic cat is: there is a pppoe link in the fiber optic cat, which is setAccount and passwordAfter the optical fiber cat starts, it will dial the network itself.

Requirements:

Do not allow the optical fiber cat to dial up the Internet on its own, but use it as a bridge device, instead, the original wireless router in the home will dial up the Internet.

Steps:

1: Delete the pppoe link on the management interface of the optical fiber CAT (in network> broadband Settings> Internet connection)

2: create a link for "Bridge Mode" and select lan4

3: Select transparent in the VLAN

4: Do not change other configurations

5: restart the optical fiber cat

6: connect the LAN 4 network cable to the WAN port of the home wireless router, and set the pppoe account and password (that is, the account and password in the optical fiber CAT) in the router)

7. Other configurations of the wireless router are the same as those of the previous one.
