I will give you a detailed analysis of the Illustrator software to share with you the tutorial on creating a dynamic and beautiful 3D line background.
Overview:
Gradient mesh
This is the fastest way to achieve the results I have found, and it has the potential to explore a lot.
First, use the rectangle tool (M) to draw a rectangle. I have a deep violet color, of course you can use other colors you like. Run the "object" menu> create gradient grid. The gradient grid dialog box is displayed. In the dialog box, the number of rows is 10, and the number of columns is 1. OK. Now there are 10 rows of rectangle, which are separated by 11 mesh points on the left and right of the rectangle.
You can use the direct selection tool (A) to select and drag these mesh points. Select the 2nd mesh points on the left of the top, hold down the Shift key, and drag the mesh point up to the bottom of the first mesh point. When you move the left mesh point, the grid point on the right of the link will not move, so that a curve is created. Then, the other mesh points on the left are not moved except the bottom. Now you should have an image similar to the image below.
Now we want to add some different colors to these mesh points. Use the direct selection tool (A) to select the third mesh point from the bottom to the right of the rectangle. In the grid clicking status, open the "color" panel to change the color. I like to use a color that is a little lighter than the background color. Of course, you can also use the color you like. Next, skip the next mesh point and select the next mesh point (note: 3rd, 5, 7, respectively... Grid point, change the color), change the color, and repeat until all grid points change the color.
This is the most basic instance of gradient mesh. If you want to add more mesh points, use the gradient mesh tool (U ). With this tool, you can add mesh points in any design work or any non-composite object. In the following example, I used the gradient mesh tool (U), added a mesh point to the left of the rectangle, changed the color, and added a mesh point to the midpoint of a line, color changed.
By using a gradient mesh, you can easily get a blurred effect by moving the mesh point and changing the color. Play more and see what you have created!
Mixed steps
A mix of steps is another quick way to create an abstract background. You may use the previous gradient mixture, but it is not a mixture of steps.
Draw a rectangle and apply the linear gradient (>) this time ). In the gradient panel, I use dark green and light green, and then use the gradient tool (G) To adjust the gradient, so the dark part of the gradient is at the bottom of the rectangle.
Then, draw a line using the pen tool (P. Draw the first besell curve. Use the pen tool (P) to draw the second line. This time, unlike the first curve.
Select the two lines, execute the "object" menu> hybrid> Create (Ctrl + Alt + B), and create a hybrid. Then, execute the "object" menu> hybrid options to open the hybrid options dialog box. Select "specified steps" from the drop-down menu ". Select the most appropriate number based on the distance between your lines. Before you click the OK button, you can preview the effect. If you are not satisfied with the results, you may need to return the operation frequently and reset the number of steps. You only need to execute the "object" menu> hybrid option to open the hybrid option dialog box.
Combine more steps to create different abstract effects. It is very interesting to try different colors with different transparency.
Opacity mask
In the previous reflection tutorial, I mentioned using an opaque mask to create a reflection. At the end of the tutorial, I also gave an example of using an opaque mask. Then, I will teach you how to use an opaque mask to create an abstract background, just like an example in the reflection tutorial.
First, use a tool you are good at to draw a shape. I use the pen tool (P ). Then, execute the "effect" menu> distortion and transformation> transformation to open the "change effect" dialog box. The following are the parameters I have set. The parameters are based on the shape you have drawn.
Scaling:
Level 75%
Vertical 75%
Mobile:
Horizontal 0.25in
Vertical-0.5in
Rotation:
Angle 45
Copy:
Five copies
9 positioning points (the box of 9 points above the "random" check box)
Select the right center of the nine positioning points
Other options are not modified. OK. You may need to return operations frequently to edit the modification results. Open the "appearance" panel and select "transform shape". You can see "transform" in the list ". Double-click it to open the "transform effect" dialog box. You can reset the parameters. After you get the desired effect, execute the "object" menu> extend the appearance. If you do not want to expand, the next time you want to change the shape, it may have unexpected results.
In this case, the shape is still selected and a radial gradient is created from the gradient panel. Use the default black and white gradient board to remove the stroke. Then, use the rectangle tool (M) to draw a rectangle, enclose and transform the shape, remove the stroke, fill in the color, and place the rectangle at the bottom layer (Ctrl + Shift + [).
Then, select the rectangle and the transformed shape, and select the cascading menu "create opacity mask" on the "transparency" panel ". Now you have abstract art!
If you like it, you can stop it or try again. Copy (Ctrl + C), paste it to the front (Ctrl + F), zoom in and zoom out, and rotate the work to get different effects. The following is a green background I have drawn. I want to convert the abstract object to White, copy, zoom in or out, and rotate the copy object. If you want to further modify the opacity mask, see the reflection tutorial.
Combined use of multiple methods
Using these technologies together will produce different results. Abstraction is the most perfect place in an instance, because it is abstract!
All right, the above information is all the content that I have shared with you through the detailed tutorial on creating beautiful 3D line backgrounds for the users of this software of Illustrator, all users now see this. I believe that everyone is very clear about it now, so let's go and follow the small series tutorial to create a dynamic and beautiful 3D line background.
