Today, I used the CF card to start wince5.0. I read some information from the Internet. I made the CF card into a boot disk without using a system CD tool. I personally think it is more convenient to post it.
The process is as follows:
1. Preparation: Download a usboot.exe tool from the internet. I use version 1.7. Find a card reader with a CF card interface and prepare a floppy disk.
2. Boot Disk: connect the CF card to the PC through the card reader, open usboot, and select your CF card. It is best to format it as a boot disk in HDD mode. The purpose of formatting is to create a primary boot area. After the boot disk is created, the CF card contains three files, namely the DOS Startup and configuration files.
3. Use the pb5.0 tool to create a boot floppy disk and copy the content of the boot floppy disk to the CF card (do not overwrite duplicate files ).
4. Place the CF card on your target board. After starting, select local startup in startup mode to start ce5.0.
The target board I use is the x86 core board.
Good luck !!
