I will give you a detailed analysis of the Illustrator software to share with you the tutorial on creating beautiful honeycomb colorful background patterns with photoshop.
Tutorial sharing:
I. Create a background color
Here, I will use the image I used to use as the color-taking method of the colorful background color material. I have written a tutorial titled "The weak color can be saved! How to use images to create a unique color solution I have already elaborated on it in detail. It is best to find some pictures with relatively richer colors when looking for a picture. Open PS, create a 1800px * pixel PX document, drag the image into it, and adjust it to the appropriate size.
Use the shortcut key Ctrl + J to copy the background image and change the name of the copied background layer to the Blur layer. Based on the name of the change, you may have guessed what to do. That's right! Perform Gaussian blur on the fuzzy layer. Go to filter> blur> Gaussian blur. The Blur size should be as large as possible. Here I set it to 400px.
Next, let's add a bit of impurity effect to the layer, copy the blur layer (Ctrl + J), and go to [filter> noise> add noise]. The number of colors is 15%, Gaussian distribution, cancel the monochrome. When you play with parameters, you can carefully observe the corresponding effect changes. In the future, you can use the filter more freely, and of course it is more convenient and fast.
At this time, let's change the mixed mode of the mixed color layer to "overlay", and reduce the fill to 60%.
If you are not satisfied with the color effect, you can use the color tool to continue debugging. For example, here I use "brightness/contrast" to adjust the layer and slightly increase the brightness and contrast. Because the images used here are different, the color of the images is not the same. The final effect of my background color is as follows:
2. Create a honeycomb pattern
Open AI and draw a honeycomb pattern. Create a document with the same size as the original image in PS.
In the new document, use the polygon tool to draw the first hexagonal on the canvas. For the beehive, I believe you have seen a lot. One of the secrets of nature's vision is that any pattern can be drawn by combining the most basic geometric figures. AI software should be aware of this secret, so it only prepares basic geometric figures for us. Through corresponding combinations and changes, we can create any image. For this, we usually need to pay close attention to the visual information provided by nature to us and collect and accumulate it.
Select "polygon graphics tool" and double-click the left mouse button on the canvas. The polygon dialog box is displayed. You can set the polygon size and number of edges here. The honeycomb pattern consists of six equal edges, so the number of edges is set to 6. The radius here also refers to the distance from the side of the polygon to the center point. Here I set it to 30px. At this time, the fill is kept as the default white fill and black stroke.
If we look back at the pattern of the honeycomb, we will find that the polygon angle of the honeycomb is different from the polygon angle I have drawn. The polygon I have drawn is the bottom of the side length, the honeycomb pattern is the bottom of the corner. This requires rotating the basic pattern. Rotation angle, according to the polygon law, each corner angle is 60 °, so now we need to rotate the half of 60 °, that is, 30 °. The essence of art is science. You can try it here.
Select the image, right-click the image, right-click the image, and select "rotate" from the shortcut menu. In the rotation settings panel, set the rotation angle to 30 °.
Let's fill the honeycomb color. Here I plan to use the gradient to fill the color for it, and the stroke remains unchanged. This fill-in method makes the final effect transparent. Select the image and enter the appearance panel. Select the gradient plate in the fill color of the appearance, and then open the gradient fill color. The gradient settings are shown in the following figure.
Press Ctrl + U to open the intelligent reference line, select the polygon, and press ALT to drag the image. Then, the intelligent reference line will help you align the two images. Arrange them in parallel. Then, select the copied image and continue using the shortcut key Ctrl + D. Repeat the previous step. That is, the new copy image is repeatedly copied and arranged. In this way, we can easily get a row of neat polygon. In this case, we recommend that you place the first polygon on the corner of the canvas to make it easier for the polygon to be arranged repeatedly.
After grouping an entire row of polygon, copy the group and place it above it. Then, copy the polygon to overlay the entire canvas. Of course, you can also use the Ctrl + D shortcut key for the remaining repeated steps after completing the first copy. Make sure that the edges of the polygon are aligned in the first step.
Now it has the honeycomb style.
3. Fusion background color
After completing the honeycomb pattern, you can group them all in AI, click Ctrl + C, copy them directly, then open the background color document prepared in step 1 in PS, and paste Ctrl + V directly. In the pop-up Paste option, select "smart object" and click OK.
If we want to change the color of this pattern, we only need to add a layer style with overlapping colors. For example, here I select white overlay.
Then change the blending mode of the pattern layer to "color fade", and the transparency is reduced to 30%.
As the background to match the corresponding graphics and text, the performance is good.
All right, the above information is all the content that I have shared with all the users of this software of Illustrator, including the tutorial on creating beautiful honeycomb colorful background pattern by combining photoshop, I believe that you have clearly understood the production method, so you can follow the tutorial to draw the colorful background pattern of the beautiful honeycomb.
