How to decompress iso files in Linux and decompress iso files in linux

In Linux, how does one extract iso files? You can use the mount command to process

[Root @ DB-Server tmp] # ls/tmp/rhel-server-5.7-x86_64-dvd.iso
// Tmp/rhel-server-5.7-x86_64-dvd.iso
[Root @ DB-Server tmp] # cd/mnt/
[Root @ DB-Server mnt] # mkdir cdrom
[Root @ DB-Server mnt] # mount-o loop/tmp/rhel-server-5.7-x86_64-dvd.iso/mnt/cdrom/
[Root @ DB-Server mnt] # cd/mnt/cdrom/

All content in the iso file is in the/mnt/cdrom directory. You can also add the iso9660 parameter when needed.

# Mount-t iso9660-o loop xxx. iso/some/path
