How to display the total number of columns at the top of an Excel Pivot table

The total number of columns in the Excel Pivot table is displayed at the bottom by default. Sometimes the number of rows in the pivot table is large. To view the total number, you need to drag the scroll bar, which is inconvenient, in this case, it is much easier to display the total number of columns at the top of the pivot table. This Excel file does not provide a direct setting method, but for Classification summary, you can set it to display it to the top or bottom of the group, you can add a new field to the data source to indirectly display "total columns" to the top of the pivot table. Take Excel 2010 as an example. The procedure is as follows:

1. Add new fields to the data source.

Shows the data source of the PivotTable.

Insert a column in the data source. For example, insert a column in the second column and fill all cells in the column in the data source area with the word "Total.

2. Add the new field to the first position in the row label area of the data perspective table.

If you use the data source to create a pivot table, you can add the "Total" field to the first position in the row label area of the Data Pivot table.

The Category summary of the "Total" field is automatically set to "sum" and displayed at the top of the PivotTable.

If you have created a PivotTable, You can refresh the PivotTable. The data source of the PivotTable is automatically changed, and the newly added "Total" field is added to the PivotTable field list. Then, drag the "Total" field to the first position in the tab area of the Data Pivot table row. Finally, set the Category summary of the "Total" field to "sum" by right-clicking the "Total" field in the PivotTable, and selecting "field Settings" in the pop-up shortcut menu ", on the "Classification summary and filtering" tab, select "Custom" and select "sum", or set it to "automatic" and then confirm.

3. Cancel the total number of original columns.

Select a PivotTable, and select "Total> disable rows and columns" in the "layout" group on the "PivotTable tools-design" tab"
