How to draw a Gantt Chart version--2013 Excel

After studying this for a long time, this was my first time to touch the Gantt Chart. For now, use Excel to draw a Gantt chart.

Theory:

      A Gantt chart, also known as a bar chart (bar chart). It was developed by Henry Gantt in 1917, and its inner thought is simple, basically a line chart, the horizontal axis represents the time, the vertical axes indicate the activity (project), and the line represents the completion of the planned and actual activities throughout the period. It visually shows when a task is planned, and how the actual progress is compared to the plan requirements.       This makes it extremely easy for managers to figure out what work remains to be done in a task (project) and to assess whether the work is ahead or lagging, or normal. is an ideal control tool. The Gantt chart has three meanings:    1, displays the activity in graphical or tabular form,   2, is now a common way to display progress,   3, the actual calendar days and durations should be included in the construction, and do not include weekends and holidays in progress.       Gantt Chart is simple, eye-catching and easy to compile and other characteristics, in the enterprise management work is widely used. The Gantt Chart can be divided into five forms, such as plan charts, load charts, machine idle charts, people idle charts, and schedules, as reflected in the content.

Practice:

      We use Excel as the tool to reconstruct the machine room into concrete material.

1. Write the information we need in Excel and select it.

2.  Click Insert--Recommended chart--Check the stacked bar chart in the bar chart--click OK. As shown in the following:

4.  then start to modify the above 3 diagram, click on our ordinate, and then appear on the right side of the table format, click on the formatting axis-select the following category of the attack. Such as:

5.   Next, make some changes to the diagram in the chart. Right-click on the diagram-select "Select Data"

6.   then the 5th step, we see the following screen, we want to delete the "end time", but also to ensure that the "Start time" on the "duration", and then click OK. Such as:

7.  then, we begin to remove the image of our start time, double-click the start time of the horizontal axis, there is the right to set the chart area format, select "No Fill" in the Fill, select "No border" in the border.

8.  we can see that the date above the horizontal axis is actually very out of order, so next we right click on the Date column, select "Format Axis", enter the date of our minimum value and the maximum value in the boundary.

9. The  minimum and maximum dates are automatically changed to the language of the system itself after we have entered the completed data. ：

  Finally, our Gantt Chart has been formed. ：

    We have changed the figure of the 3rd step from the horizontal axis above, the horizontal axis, the ordinate, the graphic inside. Next, you can beautify some of our Gantt charts to your liking.
