We often add styles to the header or footer when we edit the document in Word, but sometimes you find that there is a horizontal line on the header that completely affects the overall beauty, how do we edit this line on the header?
To delete a header horizontal method:
Method One, click the menu bar View-header and footer, so that the header footer is editable. Then press Ctrl+shift+n to clear the format directly. Although this method can quickly remove the horizontal line, but the header format is not, for the header has formatting requirements, this method does not apply.
Method Two, click the menu bar format-border and shading to open the border and Shading dialog box, click on the Drop-down menu applied in the Border tab, select the paragraph, in the Border tab settings, select None, click OK. This way the header's horizontal line is removed and the header formatting is preserved.
To set the style of a header horizontal line
You need to make other settings for the horizontal line in the header, which you can set in the border and Shading dialog boxes. Select Custom in the settings of the Border tab, select the line style, color, and width according to your needs, and then select the paragraph in the Drop-down menu that you applied to, and then set the border on the button below the preview to make sure.
