How to enable root User Logon for Ubuntu keylin 14.04

  1.  

    Set password for root user

    If you need to log on as the root user, open the terminal and enter the following command: # Set the root password to sudo passwd root.

    Enter the current user password, and then enter the set root password twice;

    # Switch to the root user sudo-s

     

    Enter the root password and enter the root terminal.

    Set the logon panel to implement root Login

    To log on as a root user on the logon page, you can edit/usr/share/lightdm. conf. d/50-ubuntu.conf directory/usr/share/lightdm. conf. d/50-ubuntu.conf file. If this file is not available, create/usr/share/lightdm directly. conf. d/50-ubuntu.conf enter/usr/share/lightdm. conf. d/

    Cd/usr/share/lightdm. conf. d/

    Edit the 50-ubuntu.conf file to [SeatDefaults] user-session = ubuntu

    Autologin-user = rootgreeter-session = unity-greetegreeter-show-manual-login = truallow-guest = false

     

    After modification, run the reboot command to restart Ubuntu;

    Automatically log on to autologin-user = root # manually enter the user name and password greeter-show-manual-login = true # disable guest user allow-guest = false

    Restart ubuntu

    Enter reboot press enter in the command line and wait for restart;

    By default, the root user is logged on.
