How to enable IE to directly download TXT files by configuring tomcat or web. xml?

Source: Internet

The Web server I use is tomcat, Which is configured in the web. XML (Tomcat \ conf \ WEB. XML) of the application.
<Mime-mapping>
<Extension> TXT </extension>
<Mime-type> application/TXT </mime-type>
</Mime-mapping>
However, ie still opens the file directly instead of prompting to download the file (for files of the TXT type)
For <mime-mapping> configurations of other types (such as RAR), IE prompts download.
I don't know whether it is a configuration problem or whether it must be solved through encoding: IE directly open the TXT file instead of prompting to download

I carefully Googled the website and found that this problem still could not be solved! It looks like you have to write a servlet for the TXT file to handle it!
