How to enable the true 64-bit ie 10 browser in Win8
Microsoft Win8 will officially go public on October 13,. It is still a 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 8 operating system. The distinction between this system also affects the Modern (Metro) user interface and the traditional desktop interface.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 provides both Metro and desktop versions. However, in a 64-bit Win8 system, Microsoft only allows IE10 of Modern UI to run in 64-bit versions, however, the desktop version IE10 cannot use the 64-bit version. What's going on?
When the media verified Microsoft, a Microsoft Internet Explorer spokesman responded, "in 64-bit Win8, the browser main process (both the Modern UI and the desktop version are) runs in 64-Bit mode. However, to ensure plug-in compatibility, the desktop version of IE10 runs the 32-bit tag by default. If you enable 'enhanced protection mode' in the advanced options, the 64-bit label is run on desktop 10 by default ."
Now, I understand. If you want to find the true 64-bit desktop version of IE10 in Win8, enable the enhanced protection mode of IE10, but it will sacrifice the plug-in compatibility.
