How to extract CD music into MP3 and solve Chinese garbled characters in Linux

In Linux, there are a lot of CD capturing software, but it is very troublesome to copy the file into MP3 due to copyright issues. For example:

    • By default, the software in the release version does not contain any mp3 encoder.
    • Software with the same function is a bit dazzling
    • Many players and coding software do not normally display Chinese information in MP3 tags, or cannot normally extract nearby information (such as music names and artists) in Chinese CD)

I tried several cd extraction software and finally chose to use "kaudiocreator ". I am using ubuntu7.04. The default music extraction software is called "Music juicer CD extraction device". The name is nice, but the Chinese CD cannot be displayed, and the MP3 tag is garbled, there is no place to select the language encoding, and the installation of the MP3 encoder has not been successful for a long time, so I gave up. However, when using kaudiocreator, you can only name the MP3 file name correctly, but the information in the tag, it cannot be displayed in the player in Ubuntu (because kaudiocreator also writes information to the tag based on the language encoding in CD, many players in Ubuntu can only display the information of the songs encoded as "utf8" in the tag normally. In this case, you need to launch the "easytag" command to make it easy.

The detailed steps are as follows:
1. Install kaudiocreator and easytag. You can search for the new software package manager directly.
2. kaudiocreator needs to install the supporting MP3 encoder. The help file requires lame. You can also search for and install it in the new software package manager.
3. Add the CD file, start kaudiocreator, and start the startup interface (Note: I have changed the encoding so it is displayed as normal, and it is garbled at the beginning ):

4. Select the "Edit album" button, that is, the second button in the toolbar. the pop-up window is as follows:

5. Select the "Change Encoding" button and select the appropriate encoding. The Chinese character is generally gb2312,

6. Now it is basically OK, but before you start to extract CD, remember to configure the default MP3 output path. Otherwise, you will not be able to find it, and the configuration is very simple, see the "Location of the encoded file" in. It is not difficult to write it yourself:

7. MP3 files have been extracted. To enable the player to display Chinese characters properly, you must change the information encoding in the MP3 file tag to the utf8 format. How can this problem be solved, you can use easytag to modify the tag information in batches Based on the file name. It's not difficult to think about it. The mp3 player I use is Amarok, which is quite fashionable. The default rhythmbox player of gnome does not seem to work well even if I change the information in the tag to utf8, so I don't need to use it anymore: after this is done, Amarok's:
