How to find and replace text formatting in Word long documents

When we are editing a long Word document, there may be a need to change all of the chapter headings in the document that have been unified into bold third, to bold small third. How do you find and replace so many text formats quickly and accurately?

Here are two ways to share with you, the process taking Word2010 as an example, and other versions can refer to the steps.

First, the substitution method

1. Open the Word document you want.

2. On the Start tab, in the Edit group, click Replace.

3. If you do not see the "Format" button, please click the "more" button first.

4. Click the Find what box, confirm that the contents are empty, click the Format button, click Font, click Bold in the Font dialog box, and click Third in the Font Size box, and then click OK to select the button in the text box.

5. Click the Replace with box and confirm that the contents are empty, and then click the Format button. Then click Font, and in the Font dialog box, in the Chinese Font box, click Arial, click Bold in the Glyph box, click "Big" in the Font Size box, and click OK.

6. Click the Replace All button.

At this point, the document of the bold third word of the chapter title on the unified change to the song body small third word and bold display. To replace text with alternate formatting, type the text you want in the Find what box and the Replace with box.

Second, the choice of law

1. Open the desired Word document and move the insertion point to the chapter heading of a bold third word in the document.

2. On the Start tab, in the Edit group, click Select, and then click Select Text of all formatting similar to the chapter headings for all bold third words in the document.

3. On the Start tab, in the Font group, in the Font box, click Arial, click "Big" in the Font Size box, and click the Bold button to render it in a pressed state.

The selection method is slightly simpler than the substitution method, but the text cannot be replaced while formatting changes are made. The above two methods are based on your specific circumstances and preferences to choose to use it.
