1. Do you see the light on the optical transceiver or optical module and the twisted pair port led?

b, such as a transceiver of the light port (FX) indicator light, the B transceiver's optical port (FX) indicator is not lit, the fault is on the a transceiver side: one may be: a transceiver (TX) light transmitter is bad, because the B transceiver's optical port (RX) can not receive the light signal The other may be: the optical link of a transceiver (TX) optical transmitter is problematic (optical cable or light jumper may be broken).

C, Twisted-pair (TP) LED is not lit, please make sure twisted pair cable connection is wrong or incorrect? Please check with the breaking tester (though some transceivers have to wait until the fiber link is switched on)

D, some transceivers have two RJ45 ports: (to HUB) that the connector connecting the switch is a straight line; (to Node) indicates that the connector connecting the switch is a crossover line;

E, some of the hair on the side of the MPR switch: Indicates that the connector connecting the switch is straight line mode; DTE switch: the connector connecting the switch is a crossover line.

2. Cable, fiber jumper is broken?

A, optical fiber cable break detection: With laser flashlight, sunlight, light-emitting body to the cable connector or the end of the coupler light; On the other end, see if there is visible light? If there is visible light, the cable is not broken.

b, Optical fiber connection detection: Laser flashlight, sunlight and so on to the optical fiber jumper at the end of the light; on the other end, see if there is visible light? Visible light indicates that the fiber jumper is not broken.

3. Is the half/Full-duplex method wrong?

Some transceivers have a FDX switch on the side: Full duplex, HDX switch: half duplex.

4. Optical Power meter instrument detection

Optical transceiver or optical module under normal conditions of luminous power: multimode: -10db-18db between 20 km: -8DB-15DB; single mode 60 km: -5DB-12DB; If the luminous power in the optical transceiver is between: -30db-5db, Then you can tell if there is a problem with the transceiver.
