How to find the HMC management address of IBM P5 and 6

IBM P5The default IP addresses of hmc1 and hmc2 on small machines are 192.168.2.147 and 192.168.3.147. If the default IP address is changed, you can read the IP address of the HMC port by entering function 30 on the LCD Control Panel of the P5 small machine.

 

The procedure is as follows:

A.Power on the server until the display on the control panel does not change, and the power indicator is blinking slowly;

B.Select function 2 by using the control panel's (upper) or (lower) buttons, press (→) to enter function 2, press (→), select N (normal), and use (lower) or change n to M (manual) and press (→) twice to exit function 2;

C.Select function 30 by using the (publish) or (publish) buttons, and press the (→) button to enter. Control Panel Display 30 **;

D.Use the 3000 or 3001 button to display the Panel. Then, press (→) to read the IP address of the corresponding HMC port on the control panel.

For example:

Sp_a: _ eth0: _ T5

9.5.105.243 ______

Hmc0The IP address of the port is 9.5.105.243.

E.After the check is complete, select function 2 by using the control panel's (feature) or (feature) button, press (→) to enter function 2, press (→), and select N, use the (quit) or (quit) button to change m to N, and then press (→) twice to exit function 2;

F.Select function 1 to enter the normal operation mode.
