How to fix ntldr is missing

Ntldr is missing, which is highly probable. After this error occurs, the system cannot be guided. The loss of ntldr files often means that they are accidentally deleted, or they do not know what the file is, and are cleared as junk files.

Use of ntldr

After ntldr is started, if hiberfil is found in the root directory of the system volume. if the Sys File is valid, ntldr reads hiberfil. information in sys and restore the system to the state before hibernation. At this time, the boot. ini file is not processed.

If the boot. ini file contains two or more startup options, ntldr suspends the system boot and allows you to select a startup option until it times out. The timeout value is set by the timeout value in Boot. ini. After the timeout, ntldr reads the information after default in Boot. ini and obtains the path of the Windows directory to execute the subsequent startup process.

Press F8 to display the Start menu. You can select multiple start modes from the Start Menu. Ntldr sets different startup parameters based on user selection and uses the startup parameters to load the NT kernel.

New Feature of ntldr

Starting from Windows XP Service Pack 2, ntldr adds a new option: Disable Automatic restart when the system crashes (disable automatic restart on system failure ). You can press F8 to find this option in the Advanced Startup menu.

By default, Windows restarts automatically if a fatal error occurs. If you select this option,

If a fatal error occurs during Windows Startup, the blue screen information is displayed instead of the Automatic Restart setting.

Boot with a CD to enterSystem Repair ModeOrReal DOS mode

Execute the command line:

Copy X: \ i386 \ ntldr c :\

Copy X: \ i386 \ ntdetect.com c :\
