How to cancel the password of A word file that cannot be modified

A friend gave me a document with password modification protection. I hope I can cancel it because the format of the original document is required. The cancellation method is as follows (office2007 environment ):

1. When opening a file, the following prompt is displayed: Select "read-only" to open the file:

2. Select save as a new file and click "Tools" in the displayed dialog box, as shown in:

3. Select "general options" in the pop-up menu, and then click "OK" after canceling the password and check options in the dialog box, as shown in:

4. Enter the new file name and click the Save button (see the figure in step 1). The new file can be opened normally.
