Some time ago a customer raised a problem, in the mail system switch, when the change in the address policy, the client originally configured Outlook client, although the sending of mail can also be normal, but the address information displayed is the previous e-mail address policy. This problem occurs primarily on Outlook2010 clients, because the previous Outlook version does not display the mailbox domain name @xxx.xxx, only the mailbox user name is displayed. How to solve this problem effectively, in order to facilitate the explanation of the problem, we put the mail multi-domain and address policy steps are displayed.
First step: View the current Default domain Address policy, currently contoso.com.cn
Step Two: View the Outlook current mail address display name:
Step three: Create a new authoritative domain ex.contoso.com on Exchange to use as a test:
Fourth step: Create a new address policy and build ex.contoso.com to the default address policy:
Fifth step: View user account Address properties:
Sixth step: Open "Control Panel", select "Mail", "Mail Settings", as follows:
Seventh Step: Select the account administrator, click "Repair" above, the following dialog window appears:
Eighth Step: Change the message address bar from the current information to administrator@ex.contoso.com
Nineth Step: Click Next until you are done, and the "name" display in your account settings changes:
Tenth step: Open Outlook, found that the mailbox account display name is also changed more administrator@ex.contoso.com, as follows:
Finally, a question needs to be elaborated as to why Outlook 2010 More Mailbox Suffix @xxx.xxx display, whereas previous versions of Outlook display only the mailbox user name, not the entire Full mailbox name, because previous Outlook does not support the use of multiple mailbox accounts under the same user profile, and Outlook 2010 is to support multiple mailbox accounts, also support multiple Exchange Mode, in multiple account mode it is necessary to use the suffix to differentiate the mailbox address.
